Back in the nineteen-eighties I learned to program from a brilliant book by Usborne Publishing Ltd called Computer Space Games. Within its pages were a selection of computer games written in BASIC for early microcomputers. The reader carefully typed the code into their machine, and having removed all the bugs, and saved the code to magnetic cassette tape, they could spend hours playing and modifying the games. Having recently found a copy of this book I intend to publish some of the games on this blog. The code has been lovingly translated into BBC BASIC for Windows. This project is completely unofficial and is not endorsed by the publishers or the authors and is intended to help new programmers learn the basics of BASIC.
