New version of Spellunker

I am delighted to announce that the new version of my spelling game Spellunker - the adventures of Wordsworth Spellunker - now features even more artwork by the fantastically talented Pob.

Spellunker is a spelling game AND an adventure game.  Follow Worsdworth Spellunker as he tries to find his missing parents.  Each level requires you to defeat the obstacles by casting 'spells' from the magic letters you are provided with.  You need to score an increasing amount of points on each three-minute level in order to proceed to ever more challenging levels.

Cast a 'spell' in Spelluker to defeat each level.

Each of the thirty-or-so levels features new artwork.  Here is a small taste of what is waiting for you...

Ever wondered what a Semanticore looks like?  How about a Lexicorn?  I've just heard from Pob, the artist responsible for the graphics in Spellunker and he tells me that he is working on some new graphics for each level of Spellunker - the spelling game from superdecade games.  At this point we will also make the wild speculation that the next release will feature new artwork, as well as new levels, including some REALLY DIFFICULT ones for the truly hard core spellunkers of you out there.

Another bug fixed in Spellunker

Spellunker should now run happily for all users.

Bug fixed - system crashed if admin rights for Windows sound was disabled.  Some PC's in schools are set up so sound can only play through the headphones - so as not to annoy tired teachers.  Spellunker will now 'fail silently' in these circumstances.  If you are having no problems with version 1.0.0.14 then there is probably no need to upgrade at this point.

Bug fixed in Spellunker

I became aware of a bug in Spellunker that crashed the game shortly upon loading.  This bug is now fixed and you can download the latest version of Wordsworth's adventures on the downloads page by following this link.

I have now test the game on my Windows 7 and 8.1 machines and everything is working as expected.  I have also run the game from a USB device without any problems.  If anyone still has difficulties getting version 1.0.0.14 working, please let me know through the contact forms on this page.

Introducing our latest game - Spellunker (the adventures of Wordsworth Spellunker)!

Spellunker is a spelling game for Windows.  Defeat each level by earning as many points as you can spelling words from the letters you are given.  Help our hero, Wordsworth Spellunker find his missing parents by defeating the Semanticore!  Ride the Lexicorn and out spellunk the cyclops.
